A new, forward-looking office, designed by MSDO, for the employees of Cushman & Wakefield.

A new workplace for Cushman & Wakefield, a leading global real estate advisory firm. Designed by MSDO, the new office has a hospitality-fuelled destination in mind to create a more inviting office environment.

We were commissioned to build the counter tabletop used in their office pantry.

The tabletop spans 6.6 metres, is made from one of our local woods, African Mahogany, and is finished with a walnut stain from Rubio.

The piece showcases bow-tie joinery, a structural joint often seen in woodworking. It is used to hold two or more pieces of wood together or to reinforce cracks in damaged wood to prevent it from splitting further. The bow tie also has an aesthetic appeal due to its shape and variability in colours and grain patterns.
