An oak wine cellar

We designed this bespoke wine cellar to highlight his spectacular, ever-growing wine collection. With only 11sqm of space to work with, we had to house 674 individual bottle storage and 33 wine crates.

Maximising the small space was essential; we furnished from ceiling to floor and rounded the corners. Drawing inspiration from wine barrels, the cellar was constructed with mostly solid oak components. They were left bare, boasting the wood’s organic golden tones and to prevent any odour from interfering with the wine’s integrity.

To provide additional character and contrast, the balau countertop is finished in dark walnut.

A custom mild-steel ladder was installed for all-around easy access. It features spring-loaded legs that lock in place when in use.
